Missy Bo Kearns is a gifted midfielder who is expected to play a key role for Liverpool FC Women. Kearns, another homegrown player, was part of the Reds’ development side that won the league and cup double in 2018-19. The midfielder’s performances earned her a first-team debut against Chelsea in March of that year, and she has been in the first team ever since. In January 2020, the England U19 international signed her first professional deal with the Reds, after which she went on loan to Blackburn Rovers Ladies for the remainder of the season. In an interview, Jamie Carragher said of Kearns, “I know Bo well, so maybe she’ll be participating.”
Kearns will wear the number seven jersey next season; Kearns: “I got the opportunity to display what I can do soon after Christmas and I feel I took that chance.” “She’s got all it takes to be a top, top player,” says manager Matt Beard. Bo Kearns also expressed her excitement for the challenge of putting her club back into the WSL, both herself and as a team. Matt Beard, the new manager, recalls Kearns training with the U11s while he was in charge of Liverpool, and is delighted to have the local product on board.
